Professor Nappi’s major interests are psychoneuroendocrinology of female reproductive and post-reproductive life, with a special focus on women’s sexual health.

She has published more than 300 scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals and international books, with around 17,000 citations (HF Google Scholar 70).

She is a well-known speaker on women’s health from adolescence to menopause and has participated in many international meetings and research projects in the field of contraception, menopause and female sexual dysfunction. 

Professor Nappi was past president of the International Society for the Study of Women Sexual Health (ISSWSH).  At present, she is General Secretary of the International Menopause Society (IMS) and permanent member of the advisory board of the International Society of Gynecological Endocrinology (ISGE) and of the international Academy of Human Reproduction (IAHR).
